If you abort the transfer in the middle, do you get a corrupted file?

I don't know. I suspect that's a possibly. It could also be that the download command reports an error (which we catch). This could be solved with the checksumming, but we decided against, so I think this is as good as it gets for now. At least it's easy to fix: wipe the build directory :)
