What is the bug or the crash?

Hey,
we use various versions of QGIS at work (depending on whether the collegues have updated to the latest version) and some computers crash when you access the browser in QGIS. It doesn't matter if you want to import something or if you just click on "save as", as soon as you access the browser, the programme crashes. It only affects some PCs. I really don't know where to search for the problem, I tried updating and deleting QGIS and reinstalling it, but the problem still stands. I'm not very experienced at working with QGIS.
