Add a link to the pypackaging-native site somewhere. #1546
Comments
Good idea. Not sure what the best location would be. |
I think one option is to put a link on https://packaging.python.org/en/latest/key_projects/ Some of the things it lists are non-code, so I think it can fit there. An other option could be as a new subpage here: https://packaging.python.org/en/latest/discussions/ with only a link. I think as a end-user its more intuitive then the first optoin, since Im looking for deeper discussion around a specific topic. On the other hand I can see that it breaks its structure a little bit since its a link somewhere and not direct content. |
Having both seems fine to me. If I had to choose, I would choose the second option. |
Agreed. I will make a PR with a concrete suggestion. |
Yesterday I opened an issue here pypa/packaging-problems#759 about how to handle binary/native packaging, since I couldnt find much info on this topic. However, as seen I quickly got a helpful reply pointing to https://pypackaging-native.github.io/ which is exactly what I was looking for.
I think it would be great if there could be a link somewhere in the Packaging guide to pypackaging-native to help people like me.
