Oracle Note: Introducing Monthly Recommended Patches (MRPs) and FAQ (Doc ID 2898740.1)

Known issues in ansible-oracle:

  • opatchauto as oracle user
The 1st MRP needs an installation with opatchautò as oracle user and not as root for non Restart/GI Environments.
  • opatch lspatches does not show the MRP patchid
How to find out, if the MRP is still installed in the ORACLE_HOME?

Work around:

  • install the OneOffs from the subfolder as single patch

We will wait 1 or 2 more MRPs and see, if the developer from Oracle will enhance the process. Hopefully we get a simple solution to detect an installed MRP.
