Bug Report

Rag/memory focus issue

Description

When giving open-webui documents and memories it seems to focus on a specific document or memory and ignore the rest

Bug Summary:
Responses will focus on or reference a specific document or memory and none of the others

Steps to Reproduce:
Upload multiple documents and memories then generate responses you will notice it favors a specific document or memory and often ignores the rest

Expected Behavior:
Every document or memory relative to the prompt will play a role in the response

Actual Behavior:
It focuses in on one memory or document related and that is the only one that impacts the response (and sometimes it just decides its going to keep picking the same one for every response which in those cases makes responses terrible because it's completely unrelated to the chosen document/memory it is favoring)

Environment

  • Open WebUI Version: 0.3.6

  • Ollama (if applicable): 0.1.49

  • Operating System: ollama running on windows, open-webui in a debian lxc container running on docker

  • Browser (if applicable): librewolf, icecat & safari
