Often, a batch of controls are set without implicitly updating owner MarSystem, and rather explicitly updating it after the whole batch is set. However, this will not update MarSystem's of linked controls.

This is a big issue for script expressions - their update relies on MarSystem updates via control links.

Especially structural controls (input and output sample rate, sample and observation count) are almost always set without implicit updating.
