I'm really missing this too. Most gifs made from a video need to be slowed down a little to make sense.

Would be a nice feature that I am missing, too.
In my case, I would like to speed up the gif replay.

Could this be possibly solved by a divider, e.g. only consider each n-th frame from the video?
