After merging some number of source tickets into the target destination, it"d be a nice little bonus to leave an activity log entry on the deleted shells of the source tickets so anyone who opens one could see the entry that says "Merged into ticket XYZ-12345-678."

Don"t the source ticket profiles automatically redirect to the destination ticket after the merge?

I think I see what this meant. It"s if you go back and find the deleted source tickets in Search->Tickets.
