Updated by mfriedrich on 2015-04-29 16:33:35 00:00 Upgrade mechanism should take into account whether to override the configuration files, or to keep them (default). |
Updated by DreiIT on 2015-04-30 05:12:26 00:00 I tried this out and I think it would be useful, if an existing configuration is found, the icinga service is stopped and started again after the update, instead of starting the installation wizard. |

This issue has been migrated from Redmine: https://dev.icinga.com/issues/8116
Created by DreiIT on 2014-12-19 07:02:46 00:00
Assignee: gbeutner
Status: Resolved (closed on 2015-05-12 11:50:01 00:00)
Target Version: 2.3.5
Last Update: 2015-05-13 08:18:29 00:00 (in Redmine)
It would be useful if the installer has the ability to update an existing installation: Stop running icinga2 service, update needed files, don't start assistant, instead start icinga2 service again.
