Okay, about to take you on a small journey here. Looking to see if anyone has any insight into what might have possibly happened to us.
As outlined in this issue #6726, our server slowly fills up as we push new code to it.
Our server setup includes 3 apps (2 python and 1 nextjs), with 1 of the python apps linked to a Postgres db, which is also housed on the same server.
On April 23rd we were pushing to both the python app and the nextjs app at the same time. While we were pushing to both apps, our drive filled with space and both apps failed to push.
We ran
docker system prune -a
to clear up the extra space, which is what we usually do. However when we were done with the prune, one of the python apps was cleared out. Almost all our config values were wiped. There were about 4 remaining, but I think they were just the default Heroku variables. Our 2nd python app was completely gone. The entire app didn't even exist anymore. We were never able to track down any logs which would have explained what happened. Nor were we ever able to identify what might have caused it in any other way. We host on digital ocean, and it's possible there was some sort of issue with our droplet, or the storage volume associated with that droplet. But we didn't see anything on the digital ocean side which explained it either.
Anyways, it's definitely a longshot, but curious if anyone has ever experienced anything like this in their dokku apps before. Or have any thoughts as to what might have happened. Or a way to diagnose what might have happened. We tried reproducing, but weren't able to.
