Hi I realized that amarok only hides the installed apps but can't install the apps that are already on phone like gallery, YouTube, Game Launcher...ETC

Can you make amarok hide these original apps?
If not, can you at least hide gallery?
Thank You.

Hi @TorCzaf 👏
Possibly duplicated: #47
Please check if that helps.

I installed it..but all I see is the installed apps not system apps

All I want is just to hide non-sensitive system apps like gallery and youtube ... (mainly gallery)

It works well it can hide and unhide system apps.. and what I realized is:

1# When I hide system apps that are also on Google play like YouTube and  Facebook I can also restore them by "Enabling them" from google play or phone settings and this may not be good.
-As for galaxy store and Google play: I can restore them (turn them on) from phone settings. this may not be good.
-As for gallery: I can restore it by opening it from galaxy store. this may not be good.
-As for google play installed apps they can be enabled by Google play and I didn't know that was possible.

I think the only way to restore these hidden apps (especially galaxy store and Google play) should be only by using amarok and not also by other things. Or it would be better if you could add an option in the app to make hidden apps (especially galaxy store and Google play) only be restored by amarok if possible please. That means anything else shouldn't be able to restore them.

2# It can hide secure folder and it can't be shown unless from the app. And that is good.

3# It can't hide work profile..
It would be good if you can make it hide work profile with all of its contents

4# I hided galaxy store, gallery, and Google play then restarted the phone and then I restored them by amarok. And that is good (nothing bad happened)
-------------------------------‐-
Also I suggest you to put a warning message before system apps be displayed or it would be better if you put warning signs for each sensitive system app that may cause device to fail to boot so people avoid them.
Thank you very much.

Thanks for the feedback 😆

Unfortunately, this is not possible due to Android's security restrictions.

It can't hide work profile. It would be good if you can make it hide work profile with all of its contents

Also hard. From my understanding, the work profile creates a separate Linux user within your system, isolating all its data and apps. Apps outside the work profile do not have permission to interact with anything inside it.
However, you can try installing Amarok within the work profile to see if it works.

Also I suggest you to put a warning message before system apps be displayed

Certainly!

You are most welcome

Ok :)

It works but it doesn't hide the whole "Work" window/"Work Profile Screen"...I mean these 3 have no effect

maybe I am hiding the wrong apps, or I don't know if it is possible to hide "Work" Screen or not.

Certainly!

Thank you :)

Perhaps you would enjoy Insular.
