Relax standard for compatibility with Optoma projectors #8

Optomoa projectors are fast and loose with the PJLink protocol, so some assertions need to be relaxed to work with those devices.

This PR also drops support for Python 2, which is EOL.

Copying @hughsaunders PR from upstream:
Sometimes a projector fails to respond, and pypjlink may wait
indefinitely, this causes the state to not update in homeassitant.

This commit adds a socket timeout so the socket will throw an
exception and the connection can be retried.
