When I call:

$cachedImage = $avalancheService->getBrowserPath($object->getWebPath(), 'my_thumb');

It is posible that "$object->getWebPath()" returns null, because the object has not image. Please check this in class: CachePathResolver.php, method: getBrowserPath.
