This is a build of UwTerminalX v1.17 for Windows.

We advise customers to get the SSL builds of UwTerminalX as this encrypts all online XCompilation network traffic, non-SSL builds are provided for countries that ban or disallow encryption

This is update includes the following:

  • Add a new "Predefined Commands" window which allows for loading/saving groups of commands (with descriptions) as JSON files
  • Add support for the Vela IF820

This is a minor update which:

  • Adds support for the Lyra product family

Please Note: This is a binary release only. Source code and support for Linux, Mac and Raspberry Pi maybe added at a later stage. From April 2020 onwards, you will be required to use UwTerminalX version 1.12a or newer to use the online XCompilation functionality, all online functionality will cease to function in older versions and will report errors when their functionality is used after this date.

Please note that for Linux, we recommend adding udev rules (link to wiki page with details: https://github.com/LairdCP/UwTerminalX/wiki/Granting-non-root-USB-device-access-(Linux)) to allow non-root users access to USB serial devices to prevent issues with using new functionality.

This is a minor update which:

  • Adds scrolling support to automation
  • Adds changing terminal font colour/background colour
  • Updates XCompile server hostname for future compatibility
  • Fixes bug when pasting data with \r\n could duplicate \n characters
  • Fixes bug which opened UwTerminalX.ini when it should have opened Ports.ini

Please Note: From April 2020 onwards, you will be required to use UwTerminalX version 1.12a or newer to use the online XCompilation functionality, all online functionality will cease to function in older versions and will report errors when their functionality is used after this date.

This is a major update which:

  • Adds BL654 to the GUI and re-arranged some GUI elements for a better fit
  • Adds support for exiting autorun mode on the BL654 USB dongle (Linux and Windows [SSL version] only)
  • Adds a latest firmware check option
  • Clears last Rx time when the port is re-opened
  • Adds the ability to repeat running of a script
  • Makes the terminal history configurable (unlisted option)

Version 1.09h Mac SSL release

This is a re-build of UwTerminalX v1.09h for Mac (with SSL).

The previous build DMG file contains the contents of the application, not the application itself. This has now been rectified and the download in this release is a fixed build. For all other versions or operating systems, refer to the release below.

This is a minor update which:

  • Reserves 128KB of memory for the display buffer to reduce mallocs
  • Improves error reporting when XCompiling
  • Changes the server domain to use a new domain
  • Fixed popup warning message dialogues not being read only
  • Adds a date/timestamp of last received data to the Terminal tab
  • Shows which SSL version and library was used for the build
  • Adds a list of local XCompilers to the listing (Windows only)
  • Is built using Qt 5.10 (Windows only)

This is a minor update which:

  • Fixes an issue when tab clearing select text in the terminal
  • Is built against musl 1.1.17 which fixes CVE-2017-15650 and another issue with long PATH names, both of which could lead to buffer overflows.

This is a minor update which:

  • Fixes some issues with the terminal input controls added in v1.09a
  • Fixes an issue when spaces were present after the final quotation of an include statement
  • Adds an optional weekly automatic update checking option for both UwTerminalX and the error code file

This is a major update which:

  • Adds a tooltip to the system tray icon showing the version and serial port
  • Adds advanced text control to the terminal window allowing moving of the cursor and inserting/removing text at various points instead of only at the end of the line (including ctrl left/right/delete/backspace)
  • Adds additional build information to the main window
  • Merges the two speed test buttons into a single button and adds additional speed test functionality to delay send/receive timing
  • Makes the speed test functionality optional which can be excluded with a define
  • Changes speed-test variables to 64-bit variables to prevent overflows on longer running tests whereby the average speed counters can start to wrongly decrease
  • Fixes bug with cutting text from terminal window
  • Fixes bug with allowing underscores in module names when automatically detecting baud rates
  • Fixes bug with speed test not disabling other functions
  • Fixes bug with logs having bad corrupt characters when logging binary data
  • Fixes baud rate selection when using the predefined device list allowing for a natural scroll
  • Fixes viewing log files with null characters in them

And fixes a minor display issue introduced in v1.09 which introduced double line spacing to received commands.

This is a minor update that includes support for using variables defined using #define in #include statements and refactors some of the code to use constants instead of defines.
