This update consists of multiple minor bug fixes and some changes to how things are done.
Main change:

• The local version files are now deleted and redownloaded upon starting the launcher. This should ensure everyone stays in sync with a working version list as we remove broken versions.

Updating from Previous Version

To update from the previous version of the launcher follow these steps:

1. Extract the downloaded zip file
2. Locate your old files (where you've been running startbedrocklauncher.exe from)
3. Go into the app folder of your old one and copy the data folder inside here
4. Paste this data folder into the app folder of the new extracted files.

This will result in all your settings and such being transferred over.

• Please ensure you have developer mode turned on for your pc.
• Run the launcher ON AN ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT. Running it on a normal account and providing Admin rights at the prompt will result in an error and crash of the launcher. Please also ensure you are using a MICROSOFT account on your pc, or your microsoft store is logged in with a microsoft account which has access to the game (Either bought or game pass).
• Despite constant testing, issues can still occur. It is always recommended to do a manual backup of your data before using the launcher for the first time in case the internal backup system fails. • Unnamed installations are now given a random string name. This prevents the issue where deleting an un-named installation will delete all data.
• Duplicating Latest Release or Latest Preview will not append a number onto the name so that they can be deleted.
• Appx files are no longer deleted after a version is extracted. They are stored in the versions folder under a sub folder called AppxBackups.
