Emoji core is a pure Kotlin library that fetches all emojis supported in the latest Unicode standard 15.1 (Updated as on 2023 September 12).
Latest version can be found here
- Add it in your root
build.gradle
at the end of repositories:
allprojects {
repositories {
maven { url "https://jitpack.io" }
}
}
- Add dependency to module
build.gradle
dependencies {
implementation "com.github.Abhimanyu14:emoji-core:$latest_version"
}
The Main application demonstrates how to use Emoji core to fetch emojis, using
coroutines.
For demonstration purposes runBlocking
is used. For actual projects call emojiDataSource.getAllEmojis()
in a
non-blocking coroutine.
Compose Emoji Picker internally uses Emoji Core for fetching the emojis.

- kotlinx-serialization-json
