Last month, The Revival participated in the Redesign Everything Sprint Week organized by What Design Can Do in Amsterdam. As the only participant from Africa, it was a profound honor for our founder and creative director, Yayra Agbofah, to represent our work on the global stage. This highly impactful experience allowed us to connect with innovative companies, passionate professionals, and fellow winners dedicated to sustainability and design. The highlight of the event was presenting on the main stage of the WDCD Live festival, our community-led efforts in tackling global textile waste in Ghana, working closely with the women and youth in Kantamanto used clothing market. Seeing our relentless work with the Kantamanto community recognized internationally is both humbling and inspiring. It’s a reminder that the impact we’re making is significant, but there’s still much more to be done. Tackling these challenges requires collective effort and global responsibility. It’s a problem that begins far away, but its impact is deeply felt here in Accra.
