  • KNUST Students Shine at HBCU & HSI 2024 International Supply Chain Case Competition A team of four brilliant final-year students from the KNUST School of Business Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems has brought immense pride to the university by clinching third place in the prestigious 2024 HBCU & HSI International Supply Chain Case Competition. A Testament to Excellence The team, comprising Akosua Agyekumwaa Agyekum, Christabel Pokua Boadu, Emmanuel Agbeko, and Jacob Kwesi Ocran, competed against top universities like Arizona State University, Howard University, and UT El Paso. The HBCU & HSI Supply Chain Case Competition, hosted by Arizona State University's W. P. Carey School of Business, is a renowned event that gathers talented students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) to showcase their expertise in supply chain management. Real-World Challenges, Real-World Solutions This year's competition presented a case study provided by Applied Materials, a leading semiconductor and display equipment company. Over three days (April 11-13, 2024), the KNUST team honed their analytical skills and strategic thinking to develop solutions for a real-world supply chain challenge. The students also had the valuable opportunity to interact with representatives from industry giants such as Dell Technologies, W. L. Gore and Associates, Sysco, and ASML. KNUST's participation in the competition was made possible through a strategic partnership between the Center for Applied Research and Innovation in Supply Chain-Africa (CARISCA) and Dell Technologies. This collaboration exemplifies KNUST's unwavering commitment to fostering excellence in both supply chain education and industry practice. Congratulations to Team KNUST! Their exceptional talent, determination, and strategic prowess have not only earned them a well-deserved third place but have also left a lasting impression on the competition judges. This remarkable achievement is a true testament to the caliber of education and mentorship provided by the KNUST School of Business. #KNUST #SupplyChainManagement #Competition #Achievement #Proud
