This is your chance to make a real impact on the rice value chains in West Africa. If you're in any of the 15 ECOWAS Member States or a MOVE-CARI project country, this is for you!   Make a co-investment in cash or in kind of up to 70% and qualify for a 30% or more share from either the ECOWAS Rice Observatory (ERO) or the MOVE-CARI/GIZ funding stream.. Did you know the Ghana Audit Service (GAS) launched the CitizensEye mobile application in 2018 to help you rate public service delivery and report issues that require urgent attention? To share results and outcomes of the app over the period, GAS with our support, organized a two-day workshop which was attended by Deputy Auditor-General, Mr. Lawrence Ndaago Ayagiba, representatives from the Office of Special Prosecutor (OSP), Economic and Organised Crimes Organization (EOCO), Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and the media. This workshop focused on discussing the app’s functionality, identifying existing gaps, reviewing feedback from previous responses and exploring collaboration opportunities to increase the value of the application in improving public service delivery. Micro and Small Business Clinics Initiative Benefits 800 Micro and Small Businesses! We are excited to announce that 800 micro and small businesses in the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions benefited from our 2024 Micro and Small Business Clinics (MSBC) initiative! 📈💼 In collaboration with the Insurance Awareness Coordinators Group (IACG), we oraginized a four-month sensitization program to educate business owners on the importance of insurance, boosting their confidence in quality products. We also assessed the risks and needs of these Micro and small businesses to help insurance providers tailor services to their needs. The knowledge gained will help businesses manage risk, increase resilience, and boost productivity, creating more employment opportunities. After successful programs in Greater Accra (2019) and Ashanti Region (2023), we are excited to expand to Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions this year! 📢Attention!!! The ECOWAS Rice Observatory (ERO) and GIZ/MOVE-CARI wish to announce an UPCOMING call for proposals for support from their Rice Matching Fund concept. The Matching Fund is a co-funding mechanism for engaging private sector enterprises to co-invest in activities that strengthen the rice value chains in West Africa. There are two different funding streams from ERO and GIZ MOVE-CARI respectively, and potential applicants will only be able to apply for one of them in this round of call. Watch this space for more!
