About us
The College of Science, which is part of the esteemed Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), holds a significant position among the university's six colleges. Initially established as the Faculty of Science in 1961, it attained its present status after the university underwent a restructuring process in December 2004. Comprising two main faculties and a research center, the College boasts an impressive roster of approximately 150 academic staff members and a student body of nearly 3500. With a vast network of alumni, the College of Science has nurtured numerous individuals who have gone on to excel in diverse sectors of both the national economy and the global arena. Over the years, the College has earned a distinguished reputation as a premier center for the education and training of fundamental and applied scientists. Its track record includes the production of a considerable number of graduates who have made valuable contributions to various sectors of the national economy, as well as making an impact on the international stage
