⭐ Yesterday, our Head of Mission Bettina Patricia Boughani went on a patrol to the South Ossetian Administrative Boundary Line. 🔷 Together with our Field Office Mtskheta monitors, they visited Odzisi and Dusheti areas, where they engaged with local people, listening to their needs and concerns. ✔ The Mission analyses such issues and reports them to Brussels as well as local authorities and organisations that can provide the right help.

📷 Recently we took a Norwegian journalist, Morten Risberg, on a patrol to the South Ossetian Administrative Boundary Line. He spent the whole day with us, shadowing our monitors & gaining firsthand insight into our work. The result is a longread in a Swedish daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet. 🗞 Providing European media with direct access to our Mission is essential. It helps us to keep EU citizens well-informed about #Georgia and the work of our Mission. 🔷 The European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia was set up by the EU on 15 September 2008, after the war between Russia and Georgia. The Mission is funded by all 27 EU member states. ✅ Our goal is to keep the security situation stable and prevent any return to hostilities.
