Character actor Nicholas Pryor passed away from cancer at his home in North Carolina on October 7, 2024, at the age of 89. Pryor performed in films, television shows, and Broadway productions for over seven decades. His wife Christine Belford confirmed the cause of death.
Pryor displayed a wide range of roles throughout his long career. He appeared in iconic films like “Risky Business” and “Airplane!” in memorable parts. Born in 1935 in Baltimore, Pryor began acting on stage after studying at Yale University. He performed for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and made his Broadway debut in 1957.
Pryor took on numerous roles in daytime soap operas from the 1960s onward. His first part was in the original cast of “Another World” in 1964. Much later, he portrayed Victor Collins on the spinoff series “Port Charles” from 1997 to 2002.
