This year the Annual SWS Auction will be an in-person event held to raise money to fund many of the important supports and enhancements that make SWS so unique and successful. It’s our largest fundraiser and involves not only our school families but also the wider DC community through donated items and sponsorships. Money is raised through ticket sales, cash sponsorships, pledges to a specific need through the Vision Fund, and by auctioning off items and services that parents can bid on in our online silent auction. Auction items range from gift cards to slots at summer camp to concert tickets to weekend vacations, so there’s something for everyone. Bottom line: The Auction supports a great cause—our kids’ education. 

Every dollar raised from this event goes to SWS. Reaching our goal depends on the generosity of SWS friends, families, businesses, and community members. Auction proceeds and charitable giving have supplemented school technology, teacher development, the cost for teaching assistants, the music and art programs, as well as classroom supplies.

This event is open to everyone; even if you do not have a child at the school (or children at all) please still consider supporting this amazing cause—a strong education for children will further strengthen our vitality as a community and more importantly, for our children’s future.

Covid-19 Note - We ask that all attendees of the in-person event are fully vaccinated. We will also offer virtual silent auction bidding for those who would feel more comfortable participating from home.  Please note that Covid guidelines are in flux.  We will follow all regulations established by the city government and the venue at the time of the event.
