🌟 Important milestone achieved in IRIS OGS qualification 🛰️   🔭 At Safran, we are committed to advancing the future of satellite communication through innovative technologies. Our IRIS Optical Ground Station (OGS) complements our long-standing heritage in radio frequency offering. Its development represents a crucial step enhancing the efficiency, speed and reliability of ground-based communications. As we consolidate our position as a world leader, our cutting-edge OGS technology is set to play a pivotal role, ensuring seamless connectivity between satellites and ground stations.   We're excited to announce a groundbreaking milestone in the qualification of our IRIS OGS, marking a new era in high-speed optical communication.   🔍 Key Achievements: ☑️ Our innovative IRIS OGS, combined with Lasercom #Cortex technology, has successfully demonstrated a long loop horizontal optical link. ☑️ The system achieved seamless data transmission at various rates, reaching up to 10 Gbps. ☑️ Remarkably, our setup maintained error-free performance even at low transmit power levels.   🌟 These conclusive and promising results highlight the transformative potential of our IRIS OGS, paving the way for the future of high-speed, reliable optical communications.   📍 Following this successful milestone, the IRIS OGS will now be deployed in Europe, Australia and South America.

🚀 Lancement historique d’Ariane 6 : succès d’un nanosatellite académique français à bord 🛰️ Vous n’avez pu passer à côté du succès du vol inaugural d’#Ariane6, mais saviez-vous que le nanosatellite #ROBUSTA3A, fabriqué par le Centre Spatial de l'Université de Montpellier (CSUM), était à bord et avait été mis en orbite ? 🔎 ROBUSTA-3A est bien plus qu'un satellite; il représente l'engagement et le talent des nouvelles générations de la communauté spatiale. Sa mission permettra de repousser les frontières de notre connaissance et de renforcer notre maitrise des phénomènes météorologiques en Méditerranée. 📡 Chez Safran, nous sommes honorés d'avoir contribué à cette aventure exceptionnelle aux côtés d’étudiants et d’universitaires, grâce à notre station sol qui assure le suivi et le contrôle de ROBUSTA-3A. Cette collaboration démontre notre détermination à soutenir des projets ambitieux et à favoriser l'innovation technologique par la nouvelle génération du spatial made in France. 🌟 Ce lancement n'est que le début !
