#ArchitectsofLastingChange | A word that describes our investment approach is "endure" – it defines a commitment to building to last. To do so, Ardian has developed its own innovative tools in recent years: Ardian CarCarbon, Ardian AirCarbon and OPTA are all part of them. These initiatives exemplify our commitment to lasting change and sustainability across our portfolio. Thanks to our Ardian CarCarbon and Ardian AirCarbon tools, we can now endure efforts to reduce road traffic emissions on highways and transition to carbon-neutral aviation. Armed with the necessary data, we can promote sustainable decisions and drive impactful changes for a greener future on the roads and in the skies. Regarding Ardian's energy assets, OPTA represents our innovative digital solution for gathering and analyzing data on renewable energies. With OPTA, we're leading the way toward smarter and more efficient energy management, helping in the decision-making process for portfolio construction and portfolio management. This is just the beginning: Ardian continues to endure toward a brighter and greener future! hashtag#Mobility hashtag#Infrastructure hashtag#DataScience hashtag#Transport hashtag#AirCarbon hashtag#CarCarbon hashtag#Sustainability hashtag#ArchitectsofArdian Ardian

Many thanks to Décideurs Magazine and Tom Laufenburger for this joint interview with Otmane Hajji, President of GreenYellow. GreenYellow's pioneering vision of decentralized solar energy self-consumption and energy efficiency is a real source of inspiration. Our support in their exit from an industrial group and their transition to an autonomous platform is at the heart of our investment strategy. The approach proposed by Ardian has successfully separated GreenYellow's activities from those of Groupe Casino. Building on this independence, Green Yellow then took over ENGIE ´s shares in Reservoir Sun to strengthen the group's presence in France. We have created a global player with growth potential in Europe in a market that is expanding rapidly in both Greenyellow businesses. We are proud to share this partnership between GreenYellow and Carrefour, to develop the largest decentralized solar power program in Europe. With a total capacity of 350 MW, it will produce nearly 450 GWh of renewable energy per year, equivalent to the electricity consumption of a town of 200,000 inhabitants. The project aims to deploy photovoltaic installations on nearly 350 parking lots, propelling our commitment to sustainable energy. ☀️🔋   This ambitious project to install photovoltaic systems on their property reduces the Carrefour Group's energy footprint, brings it closer to their goal of using 100% renewable energy by 2030, and anticipates government requirements with innovation. 💡   Ardian infrastructure has been a majority shareholder in GreenYellow since July 2022 and supports its ambitious development plan. Transport infrastructure assets suffered particularly in the covid-19 pandemic but with transaction volumes now returning to health, opportunities are again emerging for investors.   Ardian’s ALEXIS BALLIF and Juan Angoitia discuss with Infrastructure Investor about how ESG has become a ‘licence to operate’ in transport infrastructure since the pandemic, with sustainability KPIs increasingly dictating investment decisions.   “Understanding the ESG impacts of an asset is now the biggest challenge.” Alexis Ballif   "Beyond measuring and reducing the Scope 3 emissions of an asset, we also have to consider the social impacts, such as how an airport, a toll road or a railway will be part of and benefit the surrounding community.” Juan Angoitia   📄 Read the full interview below ↓   #Infrastructure #Transport #ESG #Sustainability

Transforming the energy landscape with hydrogen. In the first article of Ardian's three-part series, Amir Sharifi, Energy Transition Lead & Infrastructure Senior Managing Director at Ardian, and CIO at Hy24 explores why relying solely on wind and solar power is no longer sufficient to meet the surging energy demands, as the world continues its journey towards net-zero emissions. Amir sheds light on the power of hydrogen, presenting it as a versatile and necessary component alongside wind and solar energy sources. In a recent roundtable with Infrastructure Investor, Ardian Managing Director Benjamin Kennedy joined Nicolas Rochon, Joost Bergsma, Peter Schumers, Kai Rintala, and Keith Gains to exchange perspectives and strategies on achieving next-level returns in the renewables sector.    The discussion highlighted the critical yet challenging nature of battery storage investments due to market volatility, the necessity of investing in platforms over single assets - with platforms offering diversification and stronger long-term value - and balancing long-term contracts with market opportunities.     Despite recent dips in optimism due to geopolitical uncertainties, supply chain challenges, and rising costs, Benjamin remains positive. He believes the market will become increasingly merchant over time, and that adjusted investor expectations will pave the way for sustainable investment.    Read the full discussion here ↓    #RenewableEnergy #Decarbonization #Infrastructure
