A successful company with long-term growth must look beyond just short term. You must be prepared for the next 10 years, and not just for the short term.   Leadership turnover is unavoidable in any organization or corporation. That does not, however, imply that it must be incapacitating. If a company is effectively prepared and manages its leadership transition, it can be a chance to not only alter course, but also increase its capabilities and gain momentum.   Having the appropriate leadership in place is critical to achieving this. Last event for the year 2023 – HR Leaders Forum Engineers Australia Topic: Crafting a Compelling and Competitive Employee Value Proposition – Led by VIVA Energy. Its always great to learn what other companies do in this space, and it came at a good time considering we at Systra Global are in the middle of recreating our Global EVP. The biggest take away from me today was the saying “Floor Culture”. That more or less those within People and Culture, Executive Leadership, Marketing and Comms are the ones who create the local EVP. Yet those on the floor, who are part of creating the culture aswell had no part in the creation of EVP. Can we really have values in the company that are only created by HR, Marketing and ELT? From the consensus in the room, it sounded like everyone should have a voice. That we as leaders have every opportunity to speak with our teams and truly ask them, why did you join SYSTRA ANZ? Final NPQ Session of the Year: A Deep Dive into Organisational Effectiveness Yesterday, we reached an important milestone with the final #NPQH session Best Practice Network of the year focusing on organisational effectiveness held Hyatt Regency hotel in Doha. This was the second-to-last in-person session for our current cohort, and the atmosphere was filled with excitement. We delved into the complexities of governance in an international context, discussing the unique challenges and opportunities this presents. Understanding the finer details of international governance is essential for effective leadership in diverse environments, and our participants showed great enthusiasm in expanding their understanding in this area. Finance and budgeting, crucial elements of any successful organisation, were also explored in depth. Navigating financial strategies, especially on a global scale, requires both skill and thoughtful consideration, and our discussions were enriched with practical insights and strategic approaches. We also emphasised the importance of working in partnerships. In our interconnected world, collaboration and partnership are not just advantageous but necessary for achieving objectives and driving positive change. Our participants engaged in meaningful dialogues about building and sustaining effective partnerships across different sectors and countries. As we conclude this session, I am filled with a sense of pride and optimism. The dedication and commitment of our cohort are evident, and I am confident they will apply these learnings to make a substantial impact in their fields.
