Last week, our French colleagues kicked off summer by celebrating Fête de la musique, a French tradition that fosters a sense of community as professional and amateur musicians take to the streets on the longest day of the year. SCOR's Fete de la musique was a fun way for employees to show off their talent. We are proud to have SCOR’s expertise and leadership represented by CEO Thierry Léger, following his recent appointments to the board of two key organizations in the industry. Thierry was appointed Chair of Insurance Europe’s Reinsurance Advisory Board (RAB). In this role, he will be working alongside Lloyd’s CEO John Neal (pictured), who will serve as Vice-Chair of RAB. Thierry was also elected Vice Chairman of the Global Reinsurance Forum (GRF) and will again be working closely with John Neal, who was elected Chairman at the same time. In these roles, Thierry will have the opportunity to share SCOR’s expertise and knowledge, while supporting collaborative efforts within the industry. Join us in congratulating Jeffrey Walpole and Olivier Gay as they step into new roles at SCOR. Jeffrey is succeeding Olivier as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Underwriting Officer of SCOR Canada. Reporting to Nicolas Berg, SCOR's Head of P&C North America, he will oversee all facets of the Canadian operations and ensure superior service for our clients. “Following the accomplishments and tremendous work that Olivier achieved as CEO of SCOR Canada over the last four years, this appointment further demonstrates SCOR’s commitment to the Canadian Insurance market," Nicolas Berg commented. "I am confident that under Jeffrey’s leadership, SCOR will have continued success as an important player in Canada.”
