✨ New major desalination contract in Mayotte ✨ We are proud to announce that STEREAU, a Saur subsidiary specializing in the design of water treatment infrastructure, has been awarded the overall performance contract for the design, construction and operation of the future Ironi Bé desalination plant in Mayotte, which will be operated by our Saur France teams. This project aims to reinforce the drinking water supply on the island, which has been hit hard with recurring shortages. With a capacity of 10,000 m³/day, this new facility will convert seawater into drinking water using an advanced reverse osmosis process, providing a sustainable solution to the growing needs of the local population. STEREAU has contributed to improving the ecological conditions of the Seine with a project at SIAAP's Seine Aval plant, one of the largest wastewater treatment plants in the world. At the beginning of July, Saur employees had the privilege of exploring these facilities by taking part in an immersive site visit, a valuable opportunity for both old and new employees to gain a better understanding of their field of activity. 👉 The project involves integrating the primary decantation stage between pretreatment and biological treatment, to improve wastewater treatment at the Seine Aval plant. This stage will reduce pollutant flows to the Channel and contribute to the restoration of the Seine. 🔹 Several key installations were presented: - High-capacity pumps and filters - Lamellar decanters and sludge treatment system - Lanodor® biological deodorisation process, patented by Stereau. We also optimised the heating of buildings by using wastewater calories 🌿 💦 In the long term, this project will significantly improve wastewater treatment, reduce odours and better protect the waters of the Seine. Together, we're working towards a cleaner Seine and a better environment for everyone. #MissionWater

As the official water technology supplier for the Orient Express Racing Team team of the 37th America's Cup, Saur is putting its expertise at the service of sports performance and sustainable development. 👉 Sports competitions generate on average 0.25 to 0.5 kg of waste per participant, so it is essential to develop sustainable solutions while preserving the integrity of the sport. To this end, Saur has deployed two key technologies for responsible water management: 1️⃣ The first solution treats grey water from rain and showers, allowing its reuse for flushing toilets, washing boats and showers. 2️⃣ The second focuses on the treatment of wastewater from toilets and kitchens. With the installation of a mobile wastewater treatment plant, the Bioreactor Wastewater Treatment Unit (BWTU), Saur ensures efficient treatment of wastewater from 150 people per day, guaranteeing optimal discharge quality. Saur and the French team have shown that sporting performance and environmental protection can go hand in hand, making this partnership a model for the future of sporting events.
