Rexel raises awareness for #sustainability!   At the AI for the Planet summit in Paris last week, Isabelle Hoepfner-Léger, General Secretary and Sustainable Development Director, shared how AI is driving customer preference for more sustainable products: “Being in the center of the value chain, our role is to ensure that the whole ecosystem is in motion, from our suppliers to our customers. In addition to our physical branches, our strong AI-powered digital presence helps us provide our customers with the information they need to select and buy more sustainable products and services. We also work closely with our suppliers to ensure they provide innovative and low-emission products. We are really impressed with how AI helps us adjust our offer plan and guide our customers day to day.”   The following day at the AI for Industry by Artefact summit, Guillaume Dubrule, Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, discussed how AI is improving Rexel's customer experience: "We have a 10-20-70 approach to AI for our business. We invest 10% in developing the algorithm, which means building the engine. 20% is connecting the engine to our different systems in the countries, and adapting it to local specificities. And then 70% of the success is personal adoption, which is the most difficult aspect and takes time. With generative AI, we can manage unstructured data such as customer demands in emails, specific questions on our webshops or requests for quotations. Making sure you can handle customer needs in the most efficient way can save time, enabling us to focus on bringing more value. In line with our commitment to environmental concerns, we also use AI to calculate customers' carbon emissions and provide these elements as a differentiating service to our customers."

Rexel’s Q2 Sales & H1 2024 Results press release Guillaume TEXIER, Chief Executive Officer, said: "In a more challenging environment, Rexel demonstrated in the first half the strength and resilience of its business model, delivering solid profitability and record-high free cash flow. The Rexel teams successfully activated new levers of our Power Up strategy: • Very strong cost and cash discipline, with digital, automation and data driving efficiency at all levels • Organic growth market outperformance, thanks to a differentiated value proposition including digital and advanced services • M&A contribution, in particular from the previously-announced acquisitions of Talley in the US and Wasco in the Netherlands Our Q2 sales marked a positive sequential evolution over Q1, notably for volumes, supported by a gradually improving comparable base throughout the year in Europe and by such active verticals in the US as infrastructure projects and datacenters. Going forward, while remaining cautious about the market's evolution in the second half, especially in Europe, we are confident in our ability to accelerate self-help action plans to deliver our 2024 guidance." What can a record-breaking mountaineer teach business leaders? Resilience. Sophie Lavaud, a record-breaking mountaineer and Himalayan climber, is the definition of resilience. And today, she shared her inspiring journey with Rexel's CEO Guillaume Texier, Chief Strategy Officer Nour Mejri and hundreds of the company's business leaders at Rexel's Best Practice Forum. Designed to engage leaders in strategic topics and encourage learning, this latest Best Practice Forum took a deep dive into resilience. As Sophie's experience showed us, when your environment is continually changing and presenting new challenges, true grit is what enables you to reach new heights. For organizations, finding ways to build resilience means setting out on a sure path to grow and thrive. Sophie Lavaud earned her title as the "112,000 Lady" in June 2023 after becoming the first French climber, the first Canadian climber and the first Swiss woman to have reached all 14 of the world's 8,000-meter summits. Having achieved her dream, she is now helping women, especially in Nepal and Pakistan, achieve theirs. This year, as an ambassador of Swiss charity Terre des hommes, she is supporting a new project, Prayaas, aimed at improving maternal and newborn healthcare. She is also an accomplished public speaker and consultant for the Future21 coaching institute (www.sophielavaud.com). #RexelResilience #RexelPowerUpForum

Powering up Rexel to the next level: that was the title of our investor day held today at Gare Saint Lazare in Paris. Rexel is undergoing three deep transformations:  ➡️ The technological transformation, with digital, AI and automatization ; ➡️ The services transformation, with the constant addition of more advanced services for the benefit of our customers; ➡️ The acceleration transformation, with several secular trends at play, starting with #sustainability and #electrification, making our world of opportunities larger and faster. Over the last few years, the Rexel teams have worked hard to establish a strong foundation through the #PowerUp strategic plan. Today we are stepping up our midterm goals: ➡️ A top line growth of 5-8% per year including substantial help from value creative acquisitions; ➡️ A profitability targeting the 7% range; ➡️ A high single digit growth of EPS. We are living in exciting times, where we are fully ready to make our contribution to the acceleration of our market. The great performance that we have experienced over the last few years is only the beginning of the story!

Rexel won first prize of the GenAI Hackathon organized by Snowflake in Paris! Our team was able to quickly and efficiently complete different missions aimed at building a GenAI-based marketing application for client feedback based on their sentiments, analyzing it to automatically generate an appropriate response. They demonstrated a high level of proficiency with Snowflake technology, the ability to use an LLM, and the capacity to respond to different constraints of the exercise such as security, cost effectiveness, and responsible AI. Congratulations to the Rexel team represented by Valeria, Guanji, Erkan, Mickael, Nacim and Younes, for this great achievement, which shows that we have great in-house expertise and talents on these critical dimensions! I am confident that we will continue to see many more successes like this in the future. Younes Sallah Eric Laterrade Anne-Brisce Grasset Laurent Nizard Rexel
