Can quantum computers be a more energy-efficient alternative to classical #HPC (High Performance Computing) systems? This is the crucial question that #Quandela will address along with its 3 partners: the French electric utility company EDF, the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and quantum computing company Alice & Bob in a project named "Quantum Computation Energetical Optimisation iDemo project" (OECQ).  The project will estimate the energy consumption of a full stack quantum computer on computationally and energy intensive industry-relevant problems in optimization, physical simulation and material science. Feel (Sensing), Think (Computing) and Talk (Networking) in Quantum. We did all three during the annual Quantum Korea event! 🇰🇷   During the session of quantum computing for life science, Arno Ricou our team lead application engineer highlighted the effort of Quandela’s team in proving and test quantum algorithms to model molecules via the cloud quantum processors. As provider we also highlighted the importance of helping the community of developers by providing a toolbox of algorithms via the cloud platform: an easy to use set of pre optimized algorithms to accelerate the deployment of quantum chemistry based applications. This permits to others experts of the field, partners and users (quantum chemistry software providers, researchers and companies) to leverage Quandela technologies without need to learn about the low-level machine programming.
