Exciting News in Schizophrenia Treatment: Teva Pharmaceuticals and Medincell Announce positive efficacy results in SOLARIS Phase 3 Trial   We are thrilled to share that our latest Phase 3 trial, SOLARIS, has achieved remarkable success! TEV-749 (olanzapine), a once-monthly subcutaneous long-acting injectable, has met its primary endpoint, showing statistically significant and clinically meaningful reductions in symptom severity as measured by the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS).   Key Highlights:   Effective Results: All dose groups of TEV-749 demonstrated superior efficacy in reducing schizophrenia symptoms compared to placebo.   High Tolerance: TEV-749 was well tolerated, with no cases of post-injection delirium/sedation syndrome (PDSS) observed thus far.   Innovative Technology: Leveraging Medincell's proprietary Long-Acting Injectable technology, TEV-749 is designed to provide consistent medication levels with just a once-monthly injection.   As our partner continues to gather additional safety data in the ongoing SOLARIS study, it  remains committed to advancing this innovative treatment option   For more detailed information, click to read the full story: https://lnkd.in/d9YW5Pxj

This new collaboration marks a pivotal moment in our quest to innovate and lead in the field of long-acting injectable (LAI) therapies. We are thrilled to announce that Unitaid has awarded Medincell an extension grant of up to US$ 6 million over the next three years. This pivotal support is designated for the clinical phase 1 activities of our innovative investigational long-acting injectable against malaria, mdc-STM).   As we venture into this critical phase, our goal is clear: to demonstrate the safety, effectiveness, and acceptability of mdc-STM. With a successful outcome, mdc-STM has the potential to be an additional effective tool to battle against malaria, offering a significant reduction in transmission among the most vulnerable populations in high-transmission areas.   This milestone underscores the collective commitment of the project consortium composed by IRD, IRSS Burkina Faso and CIRDES alongside Medincell and of the IVERMEN community to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in Global Health, especially in the fight against such a devastating disease as #malaria.   Thank you to Unitaid and everyone who believes in the transformative power of innovation to tackle Global Health challenges.
