🌟 Introducing our new series: “What does laCollection brings to its artists?” ! 🎨 For artists, we're not just a platform; we're a bridge to the traditional art market and prestigious museums, opening doors to exhibit in renowned spaces and integrate into celebrated collections. 🌐 In collaboration with La Monnaie de Paris, laCollection featured Robert Alice's exhibition, Europe's first solo show for a digital artist. Robert Alice's works, tailored for the exhibition, engaged deeply with La Monnaie de Paris' history and collections, focusing on decentralization and financial crises. This showcased laCollection's role in integrating digital art within historic contexts, providing digital artists with prestigious platforms to display their work. 📸 At Paris Photo, laCollection was part of the first-ever digital sector, offering our artists international exposure at this leading photography art fair. This opportunity highlighted the diversity of digital art and laCollection's commitment to promoting digital artists globally, bridging traditional and digital art forms and expanding the digital art community's presence in the global art scene. It's not just about showcasing art; it's about integrating artists into museum collections, achieving what many consider the pinnacle of artistic success. 👀 Stay tuned, we'll have some great news for you soon!

🌟 Our NFT Museum Spotlight series revealed a growing trend among global cultural institutions adopting digital arts and NFTs, merging traditional and contemporary art with digital and blockchain technologies in their collections and exhibitions. 🔍 Museums like the Centre Pompidou, MoMA, La Monnaie de Paris, and LACMA have embraced NFTs, combining traditional and digital art in their projects and exhibitions, showcasing the evolving artistic expression in the digital age. 🎨 The series highlighted how these museums are redefining art by embracing NFTs and digital art, challenging traditional views on materiality, authorship, and preservation, and reshaping what defines a museum collection in the 21st century. 🚀 This collective shift signifies a key evolution in the art world, affirming digital art as a crucial artistic medium. These institutions are pioneering new standards in art perception and experience, heralding a new era at the crossroads of art, technology, and culture.

🌟 Wrapping up our insightful series on laCollection's collaborations with cultural institutions, we've explored the multifaceted aspects of these partnerships. 🚀 From our initial post, we highlighted laCollection's journey since partnering with the British Museum, emphasizing our role in bridging digital artists, cultural institutions, and new art enthusiasts. The "Babel" exhibition at La Monnaie De Paris stood as a testament to this innovative collaboration. 👨🎨 In our second installment, we delved into the critical process of artist selection and management. The successful pairing of Robert Alice with La Monnaie de Paris, facilitated by our Head Curator Marlène Corbun, was a prime example of matching artistic vision with institutional heritage. 🖼️ The third post focused on the curation of the exhibition, where our approach combined immersive storytelling and a blend of traditional and digital art. The "Babel" exhibition was a perfect illustration, with original works like "The Blueprints" and "Ornament and Crisis" drawing inspiration from La Monnaie De Paris’s heritage. 🎨 Our fourth post covered exhibition management, emphasizing how "Babel" seamlessly integrated with La Monnaie de Paris's permanent collections, ensuring a cohesive and dynamic experience. 🎉 Finally, our series concluded with a look at event management. We showcased how events like workshops, auctions, and vernissages create deeper connections between art, artists, and audiences. The vernissage for "Babel" was a highlight, merging the realms of digital and traditional art within the historic walls of Monnaie de Paris.

🔄 To conclude our series on how we collaborate with cultural institutions, after discussing artist selection, exhibition curation, and exhibition management, we're now focusing on event management. 🎉 We create unique experiences around exhibitions that bring tangible benefits. Our expertise spans various events, from interactive workshops and auctions to impressive vernissages. These events serve not just as gatherings but as platforms for enhancing connections and interactions between art, artists, and audiences. 🌟 The "Babel" exhibition at Monnaie de Paris was an extraordinary event, marked by a magnificent vernissage. It attracted both fans of the featured artists and loyal supporters of Monnaie de Paris. Set within this historic institution's walls, the opening bridged digital and traditional art, showcasing the exciting world of web3 art.

🎨 Moving forward in our series on how we collaborate with cultural institutions, now focusing on the exhibition management! The "Babel" exhibition was conceived as a dynamic dialogue with the permanent collections of Monnaie de Paris. It was imperative that the physical exhibition also mirror this essence. Every artwork within "Babel," whether directly linked to an exhibit at Monnaie de Paris or born from a more abstract concept, seamlessly finds its place within the hallowed halls of the institution.

🎨 Moving forward in our series on collaborations with cultural institutions our focus now turns to the curation of the exhibition. 🖼 Our curatorial approach goes beyond aesthetics. It is about crafting an immersive narrative that engages visitors intellectually and emotionally and that creates a timeless dialogue between our partners' collection and digital artists. "Babel” had to be the exhibition where Monnaie de Paris's heritage converges with Robert Alice's Web3 artistic vision. 🏛 Robert Alice was invited to immerse himself in to visit the Parisian site, its historic salons and museum, as well as the L'Argent dans l'art exhibition. The visit and discussions with Marlène Corbun, laCollection's Head Curator and La Monnaie de Paris' curatorial team, in particular with Dominique Antérion, in charge of the coin collections, gave rise to two series of original works directly inspired the heritage collections of La Monnaie, previewed as part of this exhibition: "The Blueprints" and "Ornament and Crisis". 🔍 For "the Blueprints", Robert Alice uncovers latent narratives from the heart of centralized and decentralized systems, focusing on the evolutionary trajectory of the machinery behind these contrasting systems. This subject matter finds its corporeal form in the industrial blueprints – comprising drawings, tracings, and cyanotypes – in the collections of the Monnaie de Paris. 🗣 Robert Alice: "Ornament and Crisis exploits a theme at the heart of the history and role of La Monnaie de Paris: the idea of Fides, Trust, in the currency. It presents an alternative and provocatives history of financial crises within the Monnaie de Paris, one of the world's oldest monetary institutions. The very basis of Ornament and Crisis sets out to recognize the fragility of such trust in these financial systems, especially when a discrepancy arises between currency and economy, or when faith in currency wavers." 🗣 Dominique Antérion, Heritage curator of Monnaie de Paris: "It was important to be carefully accompanied as we took our first steps into this new world. laCollection, and in particular Marlène (laCollection's Head Curator), was a trusted partner in guiding us through this project."

✨Continuing our series on collaborations with cultural institutions, we focus on the pivotal step of artist selection and management. 🖼️ The first step of a collaboration is the selection and introduction of the artist to the museum. This is where the expertise of our curatorial team comes in! Thanks to their in-depth knowledge, they work to find the right artist for an institution, synergies and expectations from both sides. 🎨 In the case of "Babel", the encounter between Robert Alice and La Monnaie de Paris was made possible by our Head Curator, Marlène Corbun, who astutely recognized the artist's deep resonance with themes of currency and monetary inspiration. It was this recognition that paved the way for the remarkable synergy that emerged between Robert Alice and La Monnaie de Paris. 🏛️ "The Monnaie de Paris was aiming to collaborate with an artist whose art would resonate with our heritage and historical collections (...) LaCollection introduced Robert Alice to us, for whom coming to the Monnaie de Paris represented a rare opportunity and which could stimulate his creative spirit (...) Now that everything has been put together, we can say that Robert Alice was a right choice." Marc Schwartz, Chairman & CEO of La Monnaie de Paris
