📸🌊 Onewater is thrilled to announce its third photo exhibition! 🗓️ 20 July - 3 November 2024 📍 Haus der Fotografie, Burghausen, Germany 💧Water, an essential element for life, plays a dual force in our world. It nurtures communities, grows our food, and is the basis of many human rights. Yet, it can also be destructive in the context of conflict or natural disasters. The “Walk of Water – Peace and Well-Being’ photo exhibition brings to life this concept. By sharing the visual stories of real people, we can understand on a deeper level how water’s presence and absence plays a huge role in shaping our lives. ⭐️ After its grand presentation in Paris on World Water Day, the exhibition is now making its world premiere at the Haus der Fotografie in Burghausen. This is a part of the wider activities of the Alpine Rivers Symposium. 🌍 The exhibition consists of 28 photo series with over 100 photographs and reports from around the world. They are the best submissions of several international photography competitions organised by Onewater and UNESCO World Water Assessment Programme. Join us at the Haus der Fotografie to explore the many ways water impacts our world. OUT NOW: Dive into Water International's latest Issue published by Taylor & Francis Group. 💦 This issue groups articles under some of our recurring themes: Water governance, Water coping in African communities, and Transboundary waters. 💧Under Water governance, explore two examples from the far north and south of Spain, addressing different aspects of water management. This includes managing a river at the basin level, which does not coincide with administrative boundaries, and an analysis of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting. 💧Under Water coping in African communities, delve into two articles from west and east Africa, focusing on farm level versus local government. Discover insights into farmer-led irrigated agriculture in Ghana and sustainable management solutions in Ethiopia through institutional collaboration. 💧Under Transboundary waters, examine the critical Helmand/Hirmand River Basin shared by Afghanistan and Iran.
