🌟 International Association of Physics Students Celebrates IDL 2024 International Day of Light celebrations have been a vital part of IAPS’s outreach since 2018. As a member of the IDL Steering Committee, we annually fund outstanding outreach activities by our National and Local Committees, offering students of all backgrounds amazing opportunities. This year, we’re excited to have supported events across Europe and Asia, expecting hundreds of participants. 🔵Kathmandu: School visits (13-17 April) focusing on the role of light in biophysics, bridging the educational gap in Nepal through hands-on experiments and interactive discussions. 🔵Croatia: Workshop (16 May) near Zagreb, educating students about lasers, light's duality, color mixing, and astrophysics with hands-on experiments and short lectures. 🔵Saint Petersburg: University event and excursion (17 May), featuring a lecture at SPbPU, a master class on holograms, and a museum visit to inspire high school and bachelor students towards optics and photonics. 🔵Philippines: School visits (throughout May), engaging high school students in remote areas with interactive activities and demonstrations on optics and photonics. Special thanks to Anna Christoforidou, our Outreach Manager, whose dedication and efforts made these events possible! #IDL2024 #PhysicsStudents #IAPS #ScienceForAll
