If you are involved in academic multinational trials in Europe as a sponsor, an investigational site, a CRO, a CTU, or involved in the development of national procedures/templates for harmonisation of CTA, we have developed this survey for you! Working within the ERA4Health Partnership, the ultimate goal is the development of a harmonised Clinical Trial Agreement (CTA) to facilitate the conduct of academic multinational clinical trials in Europe. Your invaluable input will help us: • Collect information about the existing CTA templates/models across the EU • Get a broader understanding of the issues encountered by the academic sponsors of multinational clinical trials and other relevant actors when dealing and negotiating CTAs in the context of multinational clinical trials, • Identify the negotiable and non-negotiable national specificities (e.g. provisions mandatory by law) of CTAs • Find a shared understanding of how an EU CTA template should look like so that it can be used as a model in the context of academic multinational clinical trials Interested in contributing to this work? Very exciting announcement from the ERA4Health Partnership: a new funding opportunity for Investigator Initiated Clinical Studies coming this fall. Stay tuned for details on the topic to be addressed.
Today, Wednesday 3rd of July, our consortium celebrates a Workshop aimed to refining the topic of ERA4Health Pilot Call on Investigator-Initiated Clinical Studies (IICS). This Partnership brings the opportunity to increase European transnational collaborative research funding by creating a funding body for joint programming in priority areas addressing European public health needs. Multinational IICS play a critical role in addressing societal issues often overlooked by industry players, emphasizing their high societal value. However, despite their significance, these studies often face challenges due to the absence of optimal funding mechanisms. To address this issue, the ERA4Health partnership has developed a framework and is planning to launch its first IICS-dedicated call by November of this year. This workshop aims to refining the call topic and discussing specific issues with experts and funding agencies to encourage and enable transnational collaboration between clinical/public health research. Congratulations to the TTV-GUIDE TX trial team! Today they announced that they have closed recruitment for the trial.
And it's a wrap!! 🥳 We are very happy and proud to announce that we have officially finalised the recruitment for our #TTVGuide trial. This means that no further patients can be included in the trial. Randomisations, however, are not affected. Patients who are already in the screening phase can still be randomised. Also, as the graphic hereunder shows, 11 out of 13 sites have already reached their recruitment target!! 🙌 📋 What’s our trial about you may ask? We aim to prove that low levels of the Torque Teno Virus (#TTV) in the blood might flag a risk for organ rejection in kidney transplants, while a high TTV load could signal infection. 🤔 Why does it matter? We're aiming to hand healthcare providers a clever tool – a so called “immune-meter”. By monitoring TTV levels in the blood, we hope to offer a clear picture of a #transplant recipient's immune system response. It's an important trial for the future of kidney transplantation and if we are successful, ultimately for many other fields of medicine too! Stay tuned and follow us for updates on the trial!! #horizon2020 #euproject #MedicalAdvancements #HealthcareInnovation #ClinicalTrials
