💡 Proptech and Energy are closely linked: 45% of our energy is consumed by our buildings (French ADEME). In other words, nearly half of our energy consumption can be erased by combining optimization, self-consumption, and diffuse deletion. "Non-industrial" buildings now have all the means to contribute to grid balancing through multiple solutions that are (by the way!) "low CAPEX": Photovoltaics (ENERPLAN), Thermal inertia (e.g., Orus Energy), Geothermal (e.g., Accenta.ai), Energy storage (e.g., Quantitas Energy ), etc... And thanks to operators who orchestrate this transformation (e.g., Monga). To complement our nuclear power (a chance IMHO) with even more renewable energy... ⛵️MIPIM24 is done ! A very good edition with one main learning : if last year everybody came positive and left with a pessimistic feeling about what was going to happen, this year it was the opposite: investors are now preparing for a new cycle, waiting for the « all clear signal » as explained by Blackstone head Samir Amichi. If investors seem ready, most of them are in demand for new strategies to diversify and adjust to the new paradigm. These past weeks we’ve been hearing more and more that « now is the perfect time to launch Crayon Partners » and it is so encouraging to see that we may be right... One last big congrats to Clément for setting up the Future Catamaran for the third year.
