🌍 How can we make territories a lever for adaptation? At the 6th edition of the #GivernyForum, Antoine Denoix and his working group presented 5 concrete adaptation proposals to accelerate the environmental and social transformation of our country: 1️⃣ Commit to a 4°C scenario , translate it into territorial master plans and involve businesses in the process. 2️⃣ Create a dozen pilot territorial adaptation projects, organized according to the principles of consultation, participation, and collective financing (public, private). 3️⃣ Organize local consultations to raise public awareness and find practical, applicable adaptation solutions. 4️⃣ Mobilize businesses through impact studies and public procurement to help them better prepare for climate change. 5️⃣ Raise public awareness of adaptation issues and improve education in this area. Mitigation and adaptation must go hand in hand to make businesses more resilient to current and future disruptions. In short, we need to be proactive, pragmatic, and collective 💚.
