Thank you for attending the 4th Austrian Plant Phenotyping Network (APPN) meeting and all your contributions which made this meeting such a success! What an important day for the APPN - we passed another big milestone handing over 10 institutional letters of support (LoS) to Oliver Mayer-Weber (Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung) enabling the process of Austria joining EMPHASIS on Plant Phenomics as a full member. An amazing collective effort by the APPN board members. Today is the World Biodiversity Day. As the research infrastructure for terrestrial ecosystems, AnaEE-ERIC has a major role to play for the conservation and adaptation of life on land. Some key facts on the current status in EU: Whilst 47% of 463 bird species in the EU are in good conservation status, 39% are in poor and bad conservation status.   Three-fourths of habitats assessed have poor or bad conservation status. Half of the dunes, bogs, mires and fens have bad conservation status. #biodiversity #climatechange #environmentalscience

☀ Last month the AgroServ communication team visited Easter Howgate Farm at SRUC, part of the #SmartCow consortium (https://smartcow.eu/) that is among AgroServ's 12 Research Infrasturctures. 📹 It was the opportunity to gather materials for an upcoming short documentary which will aim to collect and share the insights of researchers and innovators inside the AgroServ network.
