Day after day, they made an impact!   Congratulations to all the teams who took part to the #LittleBigImpact challenge, and committed to reducing their carbon footprint and preserving natural resources and biodiversity. Cutting down on car journeys in favour of soft mobility or carpooling, reducing the consumption of red meat or coffee, bringing your own cup or lunch box to the office... These are just a few examples of the many day-to-day actions that add up to real change!   A total of 80.6 tons of CO2 equivalent were avoided thanks to the actions of all participants, the equivalent of almost 1 ton per participant. Knowing that today the average carbon footprint of citizens in France is 10 tons/year, and that experts recommend reducing your personal footprint by 5% per year, achieving a 10% reduction in just 3 months by changing a few daily habits is impressive!   The award wining ceremony was introduced and concluded by our CEO, Yann Vincent, who recalled that there is no boundary between what we do in favour of the ecological transition in our personal lives and at work. He also emphasized the importance of conserving resources, both at home and at ACC.  

Module assembly is like a well-orchestrated little music! Each cell is controlled and routed on the line, before it is checked again for compliance, cleaned and wrapped in technical insulation. It's now ready to join the other members of this electric music band! Eight or sixteen cells are bonded together to form a pack. Next comes assembly of the sides of the module, and the necessary connectors, including the busbar that runs through the entire module. At the end of the line, is a quality wall used to check the conformity of the module. This tune is now ready to become a hit! The module is finally sent to logistics operations, to prepare the modules on special pallets for transport and dispatch to our customer's factories. In the #Gigafactory, five lines are simultaneously put to music to join cells together to form a module. Once sent to the manufacturers, the thirty-kilos modules are used on their terminal assembly lines to make up the battery packs that will be housed in a car's chassis.

Bien que nous rencontrions des défis, nous continuons à apprendre et à progresser.   👎 FAUX ! Nous ne jetons pas 50 % de nos batteries. En réalité, 98 % des modules fabriqués passent avec succès nos tests internes. Nous avons déjà fait des progrès significatifs en réduisant notre taux de rebuts. We have already made significant progress in reducing our scrap rate. We are constantly improving and learning every day to optimise our production.   👍 TRUE! Our young engineers got talent! Through the graduate programme, they have chosen ACC to discover the world of industry, and bring a valuable contribution to shaping the future of mobility. In one year, freshly graduated engineers got to understand the whole manufacturing process of our cells before moving on to cross-functional roles. For them, the programme is a game changer for hands-on experience and gaining practical skills. They value being part of a team that fosters creativity and forward-thinking solutions in an innovative environment with sustainable impact, and to have the opportunity to grow with ACC. Many thanks to our dedicated new recruits for helping pave the way for a brighter future!

This weekend, some members of the team participated in the #WorldCleanupDay, joining millions worldwide to tackle waste. This global day of action symbolises the unity and concerted action needed to protect our environment and move towards a waste-free planet! ACC is proud to be one of the partners of the 52nd edition of the race, one of the last city car circuits where more than a hundred vehicles competed. The Circuit des Remparts not only showcases classic vehicles but also honours the craftmanship and innovation that drive the industry forward.
