While you can get prepared as mentioned in this article and comments by leaders. My suggestion would be as follows: Understand Company And it's Business Understand their customer and regional general requirements Understand the process Provide your inputs on what can you do better or value add. BPO industry is all about facilitating the customer needs. The more you learn about customer the more you will be able to facilitate them. Focus on gaining useful knowledge relevant to your area, be open to changes and customisation as customer needs which will do the job done.
-
Always remember the power of partnership. If you can provide your BPO partner what is needed for the work to be done, such as enablement, tooling, etc, then focus on how you can partner and scale. If you get that sense of partnership, don’t undermine it. Different BPOs are at different stages. While I can’t recommend some of the bigger players enough, I can equally recommend some mid majors as well. Know what you need and try to get a sense of who you can do it best with the longest.

I allways try to get the rules on what the outsourcing should work. Most important IMHO is to get a clear cut on the process where it beginns and where it has to end, involving maybe escalation routes you should have in mind. When both sides got a clear rulesset, there will be likely less irritations how the process has to be done. With this in mind, the customer journey should be fullfilling for the client.
