BP

British Petroleum, commonly known as BP, is a British energy giant and was founded in 1908 with the discovery of oil in what was then known as Persia, now Iran. While primarily focused on oil and gas exploration, it has a goal to cut oil and gas production 40% by 2030 as it transitions to relatively cleaner forms of energy. BP has operations in over 70 countries and employs over 87,000 people.
