A day with Velux ❤ At Teknos, we get to know our clients' businesses and build strong partnerships. Even though our consultants visit our customers regularly, we also like to involve various departments to truly understand our customers' needs and challenges. Recently, our customer service team from Denmark visited Velux to gain a deeper understanding of their production process and see how our paint is used. During the visit, our team also had the opportunity to explore the impressive "Velux Collection" exhibit. This exhibit not only showcases the rich history of Velux but also highlights the innovative spirit that drives their success. Each room in the exhibit represents a different era in Velux's journey. We are committed to being closely involved in our clients' successes. By building strong, collaborative relationships, we help our clients achieve their goals and drive mutual growth. Teknos has led a groundbreaking collaboration to revolutionize kitchen aesthetics and functionality for Epoq Kitchens, utilizing the innovative UV and LED curable TEKNOLUX AQUA 1728 coatings. This project brought together four key parties: Teknos as the paint supplier and technical service, a specialized color tinting Colorcoat® , kitchen manufacturer Horreds Möbel AB, and Epoq - a kitchen brand owned by Elkjøp Norge AS Together, we combined unique strengths to meet the ambitious project goals. Reflecting on a phenomenal PaintExpo 2024! 🌟 As we wrap up the incredible week that was PaintExpo 2024, we're filled with gratitude for the fantastic days in Karlsruhe! Throughout the last week, our team had the privilege of engaging with industry leaders, customers and enthusiasts, exchanging ideas and discuss about the latest trends in coatings. It was a perfect opportunity to showcase our latest products and solutions, while also gaining valuable insights from the diverse perspectives shared by visitors. "We had the opportunity to show that we are not just a paint supplier, but how we can help to build more sustainable and process efficient ways of working. A big thank you to our Teknos team for making it all happen", Jonas Dubow, our Group Commercial Director, says. WORKING WITH UNIVERSITIES One of our main Sustainability Targets is supporting local communities and providing opportunities for young people to develop in their careers. As an example, Teknos Oy R&D function has a long-standing collaboration with Aalto University. For decades, Teknos Oy has fostered connections with specific professorships, which provide a good background for R&D chemist work with paints and coatings. As part of the collaboration, Teknos and Aalto University organize excursions, and Teknos' chemists give lectures for students on top of other joint activities. Teknos is deeply investing in maintaining visibility throughout Aalto student’s academic journey, and our fruitful collaboration on for example thesis projects has lasted for multiple years. ”We have been privileged to Visit Teknos Rajamäki annually with our students - Industrial visits and lectures are invaluable for us as we want to study, learn and research topics that truly have impact on our society” , says professor Mari Lundström, who acts also as Vice Dean, Research and Innovation at Aalto School of Chemical Engineering.
