Happy National Ice Cream Day! 🍦🎉 Today is the day to indulge in your favourite frozen treat and enjoy every spoonful. But the question is, when it comes to serving, do you prefer the classic waffle cone or the trusty carton cup? 🍦On one hand, the waffle cone adds an extra layer of sweetness and texture to your ice cream experience. It's like getting a bonus dessert with your dessert, and who doesn't love that? Plus, it's perfect for that satisfying crunch when you take that first bite. 🍨On the other hand, the carton cup is the reliable choice for those who want to focus solely on the ice cream itself. It's easier to eat, less messy, and you don't have to worry about the cone getting soggy or breaking apart. For those who love the convenience of a carton cup, check out Stora Enso's cartonboard options that are based on renewable materials. So which will it be today, waffle cone or carton cup? No matter which one you choose, enjoy your ice cream and sunshine!☀️ #StoraEnso #RenewablePackaging

Is it possible to build a school over the summer holidays? ☀️🏫 If you’re building with mass timber, the answer is yes. Prefabrication results in rapid assemblies. An entire floor of a building is commonly installed within a day. Precut walls and floors can arrive with protective coatings already applied and with lifting devices preinstalled. Lightweight cranes can position them into place in a matter of minutes. All this results in 30% faster construction than with concrete. ⏱️ Often with higher quality, shorter and successful on-site inspections, and little to no need for remedial work. These are just a few of the advantages of building with mass timber. 👉 To get the full list, download our whitepaper "10 advantages of building with mass timber": https://lnkd.in/dWzVspGD #masstimberconstruction

We are proud to sponsor Plan International Finland - Plan International Suomi's Girl Award, an initiative that highlights people and communities in Finland engaged in significant work to promote girls' rights and gender equality. "Women represent 50% of society and as such 50% of the available talent. However the share of women employed in industry is roughly around 30%. In forestry, there is even further to go to reach a gender balance." Katariina Kravi, Stora Enso, EVP People and Communication. At Stora Enso, we are committed to supporting efforts that advance gender equality and empower women in all fields. Together we can create a more equitable future. Thank you Plan International Finland for the vital work you are doing! 🌟
Stora Enso on Planin tyttöpalkinnon sponsori!

Waterfront Cabins in Gothenburg, Sweden, are a text book case of how to solve a housing shortage fast. ⏱️ The city is fulfilling its long-held vision to transform the old shipbuilding port area with an urban infill of mixed-use public housing, student accommodation, business and commercial premises, culture and common areas at low cost, with sustainable modular development. By this summer, 900 studios are estimated to be fully functional. ☀️ The flexible, adaptable designs are based on building concepts that Svenska Hem i Bromma developed with architect Andrén Fogelström and perfected over several years. The building concept works particularly well with Sylva™ by Stora Enso kits, which are optimised to make the most efficient use of construction materials and processes. 👉 Read more about this beautiful project: https://lnkd.in/da4mvbZQ Image: Anna Kristinsdóttir #masstimberconstruction
