After: anyone, anywhere, anytime could capture, translate, understand, and trust the data from their bodies to optimize their performance in sports and life. For almost 5 decades, we’ve been uncovering the secrets to longer, healthier, happier lives – and putting our technology into consumer wearables, software, and services. ME: 'I work for Polar Electro Oy.' THEM: 'Who?' 🤨 This is a conversation I have at least once a week. And I say (and do) the same thing every time: 'They make sports watches and heart rate monitors?' (I show them my watch & mime a strap on my chest) *honestly, it's like a crap game of charades. 'Ahhh, yeeeah…okay! I think I know them!' 😳 They don’t! 😒 And even if they do, that’s all they know. It’s a damn shame. Because there’s so much more to it. For example, they don’t know that Polar… …is from Finland. …was founded in 1977. …is STILL privately-owned. …has its own Research Center. …has almost 600 registered patents. …also makes B2B products and services. …has millions of monthly users on its app. …licenses its algorithms to other tech brands. …won two awards for product design this year. …has the most published studies in the industry. …is (probably) THE brand to watch in wearables.
