    Strategic design expertise is becoming increasingly crucial for governments to navigate complexity and drive innovation in today's world. 🌍 🇸🇬 We’re proud that Hellon’s work has made waves beyond borders, and today, we had the honour of hosting the Ministry of Defence of Singapore (MINDEF) at our Helsinki office. They came to hear firsthand about our collaborations with public sector organisations, including projects with the Finnish Government and the Ministry of the Interior. Our discussions explored the future of design in the AI era and how to elevate innovation maturity in the public sector—a vital challenge in today’s fast-evolving landscape.     We’re always honoured when guests from around the world visit us to learn more and get inspired. Yesterday, we welcomed visitors from Japan, keen to explore Hellon’s approach to human-centric innovation. At our Helsinki office, Kirsikka and Laura shared insights into our company culture and presented global client cases, demonstrating how we create impact and bring human-centred design to life. During the Q&A, we had engaging conversations about cultural differences in work, with topics like psychological safety sparking thoughtful discussions.     How can we ensure that the operational support we provide truly adds value for clinical research professionals? The Customer Centricity workstream of Bayer’s Future Clinical Trials project focused on enhancing future clinical trials by using service design approaches. “By actively collaborating with clinical site personnel, we not only gathered essential feedback but also shared early versions of our solutions with them. This collaborative approach and continuous feedback loop helped us to refine our designs, ultimately leading to the successful pilot of our new online tool”, says Tea Vedenkannas, Study Manager, Customer & Study Engagement EMEA & LATAM. In addition, we prioritized input from experts who are hands-on involved in clinical studies and site management, especially Clinical Research Associates (CRAs).     "How can we truly 'do digital good' in a world of competing interests?" Last week, our customer-centred transformation expert, Kirsikka, was invited to speak at the Chanse Conference in Bucharest. Her talk explored the many dimensions of ‘doing digital good’—asking how we can balance diverse priorities and interests in the digital space. In the panel with Kirsikka, Reema Patel and Radu Gheorghiu, they dove into critical questions: For whom are we 'doing good'? Who gets to decide? And what role does digital play in shaping these decisions? While there is no one-size-fits-all answer, these are important reflections in the digital age. Kirsikka also shared insights from the Creatures Project, a collaborative effort Hellon led with Aalto University, University of Sussex, RMIT University, and Utrecht University and several creative practitioners from 2020 to 2023. This EU-funded initiative examined how creative practices can drive positive eco-social change, a project that recently won the 2024 Ziman Award for its innovative approach.
