FRAMED Collection is a new compilation of the critically-acclaimed, multi-award winning noir puzzle games FRAMED and FRAMED 2.

Rearrange the panels of an animated comic book to craft the story of a noir-styled spy adventure. Presented in an extensive series of visual puzzles, requiring logic and imagination, each panel move changes the current narrative, leading to all kinds of comedic blunders, untimely deaths, and--when solved correctly--stylish heists, fast getaways and nail-biting escapades.

With multi-award winning, genre-bending puzzle design, stylish hand crafted art and animation, a satisfying difficulty curve, and an original live jazz soundtrack--fusing modern themes and funky beats--FRAMED Collection is a unique experience no other puzzle game can match.

Key Features

The Complete FRAMED experience
FRAMED Collection is a new compilation of the award-winning, noir puzzle games FRAMED and FRAMED 2. Escape effortlessly into the stylish, pulp-noir spy world of FRAMED, before delving deeper with the more challenging prequel FRAMED 2.

Simple, but uniquely clever puzzle design
Select animated comic panels and move them around using your logic skills and your imagination to craft the best outcome. Getting the story ‘wrong’ is as much part of the experience as getting it ‘right’, with every rearrangement telling a different, satisfying--and sometimes very comedic--story.

Hand-crafted noir art and animation
From the first frame to the last, FRAMED Collection oozes with stylish, noir, award-winning art and animation. Unique, hand-drawn silhouetted characters, incredibly fluid animations, and beautiful, mysterious settings all bring the FRAMED world to life with a wink of mischievous personality.

Multi-award winning, genre-bending design
FRAMED Collection features a fusion of unique game mechanics and clever narrative puzzles that bend genres and constantly deliver a satisfying experience with every panel arrangement. A winner of multiple game awards, and a finalist of IGF 2015’s ‘Excellence in Design’ Award, Hideo Kojima named FRAMED his Game of the Year in 2014--“without any doubt”.

An all-original live jazz soundtrack
Featuring live jazz performances fused with modern themes and funky beats, the soundtracks to FRAMED and FRAMED 2 are as mesmerising as they are evocative, setting the mood and upping the mystery-laden tension.

Praise for FRAMED:

"My best game in this year without any doubt." – Hideo Kojima, Renowned Game Designer

"...an astonishingly well-crafted game... with gorgeous visuals, finger-snapping music, brilliant design, and a wonderful central concept. ...an absolute must-buy." – James Dominguez, Sydney Morning Herald

"Once in a while, a truly rare and unique game comes along that’s not just a perfect fit for touchscreens, but makes you wonder why it hasn’t been done before because it just seems simultaneously ingenious and obvious." - AppUnwrapper

Where has the collection of pictures in Framed 2 gone to?

It's a lot of fun to trying to collect all those pictures while trying to solve the puzzle at the same time.

Why is that thing removed?

There's one cutscene in Framed 2 that got edited!

The part where the girl fall down from the tower has been changed.

Why did you do that? What's the point?

The original one on android gives a lot more detail and it makes a lot more sense.

We can see the girl fall into a black box on the ground and being found by the old man in the original version. But in this collection, the cutscene got changed to some cans falling down on the ground and then it's over. Then the girl suddenly appeared in the next scene out of nowhere.

Also, with the black box removed from that cutscene, how could the girl fall onto the solid ground without getting seriously injured?

Temporary solution before the developer update this game:

The video file for this panel is located at: Framed Collection\assets\win\levels\Scene_2117\Panel_03.webm

We can replace it with the one from android: main.1561656687.com.noodlecake.framed2.obb\assets\android\levels\Scene_2117\Panel_03.mp4

Don't forget to convert the format to .webm otherwise the game won't play it.

Update: I found the IOS version of Framed 2 has got a lot better graphics quality than the android version. So let's grab the full video file from the IOS version instead.

Download the ipa file here: FRAMED 2 v1.0.6 for iOS (pdalife.com)

Then open the ipa file with your favorite archive software.

The video file we want is located at: FRAMED-2-v1-0-6.ipa\Payload\FRAMED2.app\base\levels\Scene_2117\Panel_03.mp4

Convert this to webm and replace the incomplete one in Framed Collection.

The Linux download will not run as is.  Not only is it missing the libpng12.so.0 library (which not all distros still have built-in) but it also relies on the also not bundled libsteam_api.so.

I purchased the game in a bundle a while back, but when I installed it it won't start because it claims that a file is missing. I downloaded the latest windows version of the game setup. I'm not sure how to fix it.

Edit: fixed thanks to comment below by CalbertAmu

Is there no way to save the game?  I was about midway through the first game when I took a break, came back and I was at the beginning again.

Yes, please can anyone give a hand? I thought it was because the folder was marked "Read-only" but changing that did not seem to help.

A belated reply, but hopefully it'll be useful to anyone who runs into the same problem in the future: on Windows, at least, running the game as an administrator allows it to save/load correctly.

These games are unique little gems. Its basically a story book puzzle game in which you need to reorder panels to tell the story you want do tell, which usually includes getting away from the people hunting you and they have some seriously clever ideas for its design. Its not terribly challenging as you can try around a lot, but its such a joy to play and just effortlessly makes you grin with its amazing fluid animations, unfortunate outcomes and smart level ideas, that its not not to recommend everyone to play it. 5/5

I played this on the Switch a while ago and really enjoyed it. The first game does a lot of cool stuff with the core mechanic and ideas, and makes some really interesting puzzles. Unfortunately, the second game is less good, as it feels like the puzzles are less interesting or difficult (with a couple of exceptions), and I think I recall not liking the animation as much as in the first one? It isn't a /bad/ game, but it's definitely not as good as the first one and feels like it doesn't try to do anything that the first game didn't already do better.

Framed.exe - System Error

The code execution cannot proceed because OpenAL32.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

In case people have this issue: https://www.openal.org/downloads/

Thank you! This fixed the missing AL32 file error, but not a missing MSCVP and MSCVR file error. Any  solutions for that?

Edit: Anyone with the same issue reading this: downloading the following fixed it for me. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=40784

Hi all, sorry about this problem. It  should now be fixed.

Now is everything working without issues. ^_^ Thanks!

PS: You don’t have a single bad game, IMHO.

Thanks a ton!!!! You guys are awesome!

EDIT: Nevermind! The problem has been fixed now. :)

How do I download this?

Any reason there is no actual 'download' info on the page at all?

Hey guys. I've been wanting to play this forever and now I got it through the Palestinian Aid Bundle. Like many others it seems, I don't see any way to install the game. Could you look into it? Thank you!

( 17)

Having trouble downloading this through itch app. Seems to be the only one in the palestinian aid bundle so far to have this issue.

I also don't see any way to download :(

I'm looking for some help with troubleshooting.  I received the Steam version of this a while back, and I haven't been able to get it to run at all.  I sent an e-mail to Love Shack, and they deferred me to Fellow Traveler, who didn't even respond.  Is there someone else I can contact to help get this product to function?

played this game a long time ago, solid 10/10 from me

puzzles were interesting, and so was the story, great game overall
