ERCIM fellowship provides an excellent opportunity to explore cutting-edge research, grow leadership skills and develop collaborations. Its coordinators (Emma and Catherine) and Campus France staff are very proactive in answering the queries. During the fellowship period, the allocated host institute HR (Randi) was helpful in all administrative matters. My scientific coordinator (Xiaomeng) and research group bestowed confidence in me to work on the independent research topic, procure instruments and develop a new experiment. This proved to be perfect to expand my knowledge base and gain managerial skills. AIT group leader (Monica) and VisLab members assured me of a healthy working environment. I highly recommend budding researchers, especially those who enjoy working on self-initiated ideas to apply for this programme. - Piyush Swami
