BOOTLEG COLLECTION is a love letter to NES multicarts that many of us played back in the 90s. This is a 4-in-1 game collection that includes such gems as:

1. DYE HARD 🎨 Eat fruits and paint the canvas in this Snake-inspired puzzle game.
2. GRAND THEFT ALCO 🍺 A Pacman clone with high-speed police chases.
3. FAR SEA INVADERS ⚔️  Defend your homeland from famous explorers and raiders.
4. TEMPLE MAYHEM 💎  Treasure hunting in the style of Donkey Kong Jr. and Popeye.

pretty good, unfortunotly I'm not good at these games

wasted being a good thing in grand theft alco is the funniest shit i have seen all day

I liked Dye Hard and Far Sea Invaders. However i put stages as levels that starting again from start for Dye Hard. The disadvantage all of these "retro mame games" was that many of them had no levels but you started all over from the start even after 50 levels. You may have both options maybe?

All pretty good games. But some are too repetitive.
I think the Dye Hard is the best one, it's the most challenging and doesn't feel as tedious as the others, I could replay it almost indefinitely.
Grand Theft Alco is fun but it gets boring and easy too fast, I really wish there were more maps or changes in enemy behavior.
Far Sea Invaders is also a bit too easy, but it's more interesting and the dialog and multiple stages makes it engaging for longer, but once it restarts from the first stage again (and I haven't gotten hurt once) it's kinda like "why keep playing?"

Temple Mayhem is also repetitive, but it's harder, so that makes it more interesting. But the scoring isn't working so I can't know how well I'm doing (no matter what I did, my score remained at zero).

I agree, Dye Hard is the best of the bunch. I actually considered removing the other games at some point but I spent too much time on them, so decided to keep them. (Plus that would ruin the entire bootleg vibe.)

Once the jam ends, I will certainly update the Bootleg Collection. I had several stages planned for Temple Mayhem and GTA I need to fix the bugs.

Thanks for playing!

The Chili and Cacao icons were switched around, for some reason.

Thanks for noticing!

Great job and great games!  You did a awesome job replicating the NES style.  Dye Hard was my favorite although I had fun learning about all of the colonist names in Far Sea Invaders.
