🖌🖍Happening Today, Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) Ethiopia Woord en DaadPlatform for Stakeholders in Youth Self-Employment We are excited to announce the commencement of the second Periodic thematic platform meetings on youth employment. These meetings have well-defined thematic agendas and are part of the EYE program, which aims to bring about systemic change in youth employment. The program is supported by Woord en Daad and seeks to foster systemic change at a thematic level by uniting various actors, including the government (as the lead partner), private sector, financial institutions, BDS providers, TVETs, and sectoral associations. The platform has clear objectives and focuses on establishing a sustainable and recognized union among BDS providers, financial institutions, and market providers to ensure youth employment in the thematic area.

Exciting developments in ArbaMinch as Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) Ethiopia and Dorcas Aid convened a regional platform focused on youth employment in Southern Ethiopia. Stakeholders from Regional bureaus, financial institutions, private actors, and NGOs came together for a fruitful discussion on systemic changes needed to boost youth employment. The event resulted in new partnerships and a clear roadmap for future actions, setting goals for advancing youth employment opportunities in the region. Woord en DaadDigital Opportunity Trust (DOT) Ethiopia I am excited to announce that we are organizing a Regional Platform on youth employment in the Sidama Regional state DOT ETHIOPIA with DORCAS AID ETHIOPIA. This platform aims to promote systemic change approach at a regional level and address the issue of youth unemployment with Clear objective, agenda and policy reform ideas in the region need to be developed by the platform members.  We have conducting periodic meetings with a clear agenda, structure, and commitment to measuring the impact of system change. The platform's focus is to gather and consolidate the knowledge gained from various thematic areas specific to the region. Additionally, it can address policy matters relevant to the region and provide evidence for national-level policy decisions. The goal of this platform is to bring together key stakeholders from the government, private sector, financial institutions, sector associations, chambers, labor associations, employer associations, and other interested parties in the region to secure youth employability.
