Coyote and Fire
A small watercolor piece I did in a sketchbook for a convention as a
take-home commission! I regret not scanning this piece before shipping
the sketchbook back to it’s owner, but I managed to get a pretty good
cell phone snap in good light, and fixed it up in photoshop.
Descend into the Inferno
Finished full body commission for Aetobatus! This was such an intense pleasure to paint; from the character’s design, to the pose and lighting, and handling the axe design. I hope to get more fire lit commissions in the future!

Special collaboration commission for/with Firemaster13! She drew Riyoko (spitting red flames) and the gesture for Sero (deflecting with blue flames), I refined the sketch for Sero, did a little adjusting of Riyoko’s wings and hands, and then I painted it! Man, being able to paint flames again has been really fun. Plus these characters rock, and so do the people who they belong to! <3

Speedpaint for Westly, of his vampire character from his webcomic Sacred Grounds! With his vampire species (Anusian Strigorii), being able to control yourself around fire is a way of showing off. The older ones smoke, but you’ll still see them twitch when they go to light the cigarette. Young ones, like Wes, will tear things apart to get away. They will go THROUGH the car door without the luxury of opening it up first if you flick a lighter while you’re both in the car. But we liked the idea of a fire bending Strigorii, so here is Westly REALLY showing off control of fire. I highly recommend checking out the comic, it’s hilarious and cute!
